Review Methodology

How we test, score and review every tool on this site.

Nexsia exists to help YouTubers and creators pick the right AI tools without wasting money. Every review and comparison on this site follows the same process. Here's exactly how we work — so you can judge whether to trust our verdicts.

How we score tools

Each tool is rated out of 5 on four things that actually matter to creators:

We don't give everything 4.8 stars. A believable range of scores is the whole point — if every tool scored top marks, the ratings would be worthless.

Our research process

1Hands-on testing where we can

We use tools directly on real creator tasks — clipping a long video, researching keywords, drafting a script, generating a voiceover — rather than reading a feature list.

2Cross-checking public sentiment

We compare our experience against verified reviews on G2, Trustpilot and Capterra, plus real discussion on Reddit and YouTube. Where we cite sentiment, we link the source.

3Verifying pricing at the source

Prices change constantly. We check each tool's own pricing page and date every review, and we revisit them regularly to keep numbers current.

4Writing the honest verdict

We say who a tool is not for, not just who it's for — and we name free or non-affiliate tools when they're genuinely the best answer.

Our promise on independence
